Celebrating the first Siyazenzela graduates of 2024!

Mar 5, 2024 | WFA News

The first WFA Siyazenzela Employability, Wellness and Leadership training course for 2024 was conducted at the picturesque Nyosi Wildlife Reserve during the month of February.

The course is funded annually by Community Conservation Fund Africa in aid of previously disadvantaged youth from the communities neighbouring the Nyosi Wildlife Reserve.

As part of the course’s Environmental Wellness module, the learners experienced a game drive on the Reserve, as well as an overnight trail in a non-predator area of Addo Elephant National Park.

Twenty beneficiaries completed the training successfully and graduated at a beautiful ceremony held at Nyosi on 1st March 2024.

Two of the graduates, Siyamthanda July and Mihlali Kinikini, were awarded with a 6-month paid Internship at Nyosi Wildlife Reserve, funded by the Global Humane Conservation Fund of Africa.

Wilderness Foundation Africa and the Youth Development team would like to thank all the partners and funders who made this training programme possible.
